The geographic distribution of health outcomes often reflects socio-demographic disparities of communities, such as in poverty, unemployment, educational attainment, race/ethnicity, linguistic isolation, etc. The importance of understanding and visualizing social determinants of health or environmental disparities at the community level is widely recognized by health professionals. This map series visualizes socio-demographic patterns across the Census Designated Places (CDPs) in Southern Nevada to add context for tackling community-level health disparities.
